A number of studies have established that too much screen time can have negative effects on a child or adolescent’s behaviour, health, and academic performance. A 2015 report from the American Psychological Association concluded that there is a relationship between violent video game use and heightened aggressive thoughts and behaviours as well as reduced prosocial behaviour and empathy.
