OSTA Walk Zone Adjustments

After careful consideration of the many comments from concerned parents, staff and Trustees, OSTA has adjusted the St John XXIII walk zone to reflect the safety concerns existing along that roadway.  We are grateful for the effort it took to examine this and make these changes.

Craig Henry Dr is unique in its design.  While no one element could be considered a hazard per se, the combination of elements including curves in the road, parking along the side, intersections within curves, trees in the median, commercial entrances, speed control measures, etc,  leads to reduced visibility at key intersections where students would intuitively expect to cross.

Attached is a copy of our revised map.  The white area is the busing zone due to distance, the pink area is the walking zone and the green area is the busing zone due to hazards.  The students who would now be receiving transportation are in the green area.

OSTA will be contacting individual families of students who will now be receiving transportation in the coming week.  Your continued support is appreciated.
