2020-2021 Yearbook Cover Contest

Calling all Saint John XXIII artists!

School looks a little different this year and our School Council is committed to capturing these unique moments with the 2020-2021 yearbook! We are asking students to put their creative minds to work and design an original yearbook cover. Every student in every grade is eligible to participate, whether attending classes in person or online.

Submit your entries by Monday, November 23:
  • In person: Bring your cover art to your homeroom teacher. Your original drawing will be returned to you at a later date.
  • By email: Scan/Take a photo then email your cover art to sjxxiiiparentcouncil@gmail.com. We may later request the original drawing to scan for publication.
The yearbook committee will review all submissions and select the winners:
  • The 1st place winner will have his/her drawing on the front cover of the yearbook.
  • The 2nd place winner will have his/her drawing on the back cover of the yearbook.
  • Both winners will receive an Indigo gift card!
  • Select covers will also appear as artwork in the yearbook (the number that can be included will depend on the number of submissions).
Students, please read the following guidelines very carefully:
  • Your drawing must be completed on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of white paper in portrait orientation (vertical orientation/long side going top to bottom).
  • Be sure to include in your drawing the school name written as “Saint John XXIII” or “St. John XXIII” and the school year “2020-2021”.
  • Use only felt tip markers or coloured pencils. Use lots of vibrant colours.
  • Check the spelling of all words.
  • Either print your first and last name and grade in pencil on the back of your drawing or include that information in the email submission.
Looking forward to seeing all the fabulous yearbook cover contest entries!
